This is a fully onsite, 12-month contract opportunity for professionals with strong embedded firmware development experience using C/C++, preferably within the medical device industry or another highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Develop high-quality embedded firmware using C/C++ throughout the full software development lifecycle. Work in pair programming environments and actively participate in code reviews to ensure high coding standards. Integrate software components and third-party libraries into existing embedded systems. Perform firmware/hardware integration, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Collaborate closely with Product, QA, Hardware, and cross-functional engineering teams. Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure compliance with medical device development standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 7+ years of embedded software development experience (5+ years with a Master's degree). Strong hands-on experience with Embedded C/C++ firmware development. Experience working with hardware, including circuit analysis, microelectronics, or computer architecture. Expertise in firmware/hardware integration, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting. Experience using GitHub for software configuration management. Ability to produce quality technical documentation in compliance with regulated industry standards. Preferred Experience Medical device software development experience (strongly preferred). Experience in other highly regulated industries such as aerospace or automotive. Knowledge of software quality assurance, testing methodologies, and compliance documentation.
