SAP PP/MM Business Systems Analyst (BSA) Location: Fremont, CA (Hybrid) Onsite Must from Day 1 Rate 65 to 75 12+ years, strong profile. Position Overview The SAP PP/MM Business Systems Analyst acts as the strategic liaison between manufacturing/supply chain business units and the IT development teams. This role is responsible for gathering requirements, mapping business processes, performing hands-on configuration, and supporting the SAP Production Planning (PP) and Materials Management (MM) modules to optimize high-tech manufacturing and inventory operations. Key Responsibilities Process Analysis & Requirement Gathering: Partner with business stakeholders to analyze operational requirements in Plan-to-Build and Procure-to-Pay tracks; translate them into effective SAP functional specifications. System Configuration: Perform hands-on SAP PP/MM configuration to support master data, shop floor execution, MRP, purchasing, inventory management, and material handling workflows. Production Support & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide tier-2/3 functional support according to team SLAs. Testing & Deployment: Design, document, and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts. Manage data validation during migrations or system enhancements. Documentation: Author and maintain critical documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications (FS), SOPs, and user training materials. Required Skills & Qualifications SAP Functional Expertise: Strong hands-on configuration experience in SAP PP (MRP, Bill of Materials, Routing, Production Orders) and SAP MM (Inventory Management, Purchasing, Valuation, Material Master). Business Analysis: Proven experience mapping business processes, managing lifecycle implementations, and acting as a technical liaison. Integration Knowledge: Familiarity with how PP/MM integrates with adjacent modules (e.g., WM/EWM, SD, FI/CO) or external third-party manufacturing platforms (MES/EDI). Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving capabilities, clear communication skills, and the ability to interact seamlessly with cross-functional and hybrid teams.
