Position: QA Lead(100% Remote) Location: 100% Remote Duration: 10 months Job Description: Position Description This position is responsible for following and promoting Quality Assurance standards and best practices along with establishing quality assurance standards and measures for the information technology services within the organization. Plan and execute work plans of multiple initiatives simultaneously, verifying the work of team members and ensuring all standards are followed. Perform testing that includes manual and automated test execution for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing required to meet the business requirements, and strategic mission and goals of the organization while mitigating risk. Assist and drive quality activities into the organization establishing quality assurance standards and measures. Provide mentorship and training to members of the organization in quality practices. Contribute, recommend, and identify risks and solutions associated with proposed or existing software application strategies. Versatile enough to understand several applications and be a Subject Matter Expert in more than one application. Ensure team members adhere to documented standards. Well-versed in all aspects of testing (e.g., analysis, planning, performance, automation, etc.) and able to speak to the needs of each. Has broad expertise in the field's concepts, practices, and procedures and expertly performs various complex tasks with minimal guidance. Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment as this role works with the business user community, technical teams, and end-users to successfully develop and implement quality changes into production. Collaborate with business partners and IT team leads, project leads, business analysts, end users, and third-party contacts to design, plan, execute, and validate test scenarios, scripts, or procedures to test system modifications and receive business user acceptance before implementation. Analyzes requirements, deliverables, results, etc. Active participant in all phases of the project lifecycle. Advise, mentor, train, or assist members in the organization at other skill levels, as needed, to ensure timely releases of highly tested quality changes before implementation. Act as a consultant on quality methods, processes, and tools. Review the work of the Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure quality, appropriate coverage, and remediate gaps. Apply knowledge and skills to a range of assignments, including the more complex testing efforts across the enterprise. Proactively contributes, offers recommendations, and identifies risks and solutions associated with proposed or existing software application strategies. Lead and direct the work of others. Coordinate project activities with all testing resources. Review, monitor, and summarize the progress of project testing activities. Active participant in all phases of the project lifecycle. Lead efforts for QA in test management tools. Develop and maintain standards for managing the QA documentation and deliverables. Design and create automated test scripts and scenarios using Selenium and C#. Create and manage testing programs that address database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability. Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screens, or content. Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles. Coordinate, prioritize, schedule, and complete testing required for multiple applications with overlapping schedules. Well-versed in all aspects of testing (e.g., analysis, planning, performance, automation, etc.) and able to speak to the needs of each. Document software defects using a bug tracking system, report defects to software developers and project managers or leads, Monitor bug resolution efforts, and track successes. Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates. Participate in product design reviews, providing input on functional requirements, product design, schedules, or potential risks. Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness or to mitigate risks. Education Bachelors degree preferred; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Required Experience Eight years of Quality Assurance testing experience. Experience with specific software development life cycle phases, especially requirement development analysis, test planning, and execution. Experience working with data queries for data mining and validation. Experience in translating business requirements into testing specifications and test scenarios. Strong analytical skills and experience with test automation. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Expert with Quality Assurance Best Practice methodologies. Preferred Experience Knowledge of the healthcare insurance industry, including Enrollment, Billing, Claims Processing, EDI, and Amisys. Experience with Oracle and PL/SQL database queries.
