This is not a lead/managerial rolethe ideal candidate must be passionate about coding, solving complex technical problems, and building highly scalable backend systems. Required Skills 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience. Expert in Core Java (Java 11/17/21). Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security. Extensive experience building Microservices and REST APIs. Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, SOLID Principles, and clean coding practices. Strong experience with Hibernate/JPA. Expertise in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL). Hands-on experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift. Cloud experience with AWS or Azure. Strong knowledge of Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines. Experience with JUnit, Mockito, TDD, and automated testing. Excellent debugging, performance tuning, memory optimization, and multithreading skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments. Nice to Have Experience with Reactive Programming (WebFlux). Exposure to Redis, Elasticsearch, MongoDB. Financial Services or Banking domain experience. Experience with event-driven architecture and distributed systems. Write clean, optimized, production-quality code with a strong focus on coding standards. Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design. Troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize application performance. Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Must Have Local candidate to O'Fallon, MO (or willing to relocate immediately). 10+ years of recent hands-on Java backend development.
