Minimum 15+ years of experience Position: IBM WebSphere Portal Technical Lead Location: Hartford, CT (Remote) Duration: (TP / FTE / CTH/Any) Job Description: Technical lead with good expertise on IBM WebSphere Portal Able to build knowledge based on IBM WebSphere portal code without much of documentation and transition. Able to ramp up team on IBM WebSphere Portal Able to provide production support and enhancements Perform portal and portlet level design and development Development of server-side components to satisfy front-end requirements Convert CSS and other artifacts into portal themes, layouts and skins Web service design & JavaScript development Strong technical design and programming skills Excellent problem analysis and problem solving skills Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers, partners and customers Ability to develop and present technical concepts to a business audience. Ability to work with offshore team. Responsibilities and Skills: Experience in WebSphere Portal Server Development, configuration, Administration. Security configuration with Active Directory Server, Performance Tuning, Users and Group Management, Web Server configuration, and Content Management. Experience on WebSphere Portal Server 8.5 including WebSphere Portlet Factory (using Eclipse), Portlet API (JSR 168) and Portal Development Toolkit and RAD (Rational Application Developer). Experience in deploying J2EE applications on WAS using WAS admin console and scripting tool. Integrate and implement Portlets using Web services. Develop and deploy Portlets using IBM portlet API and JSR 168 with Single Sign-on. Experience in web-based/server-side applications using J2EE Technologies (Java, JDBC, JSP, Servlets, Spring and Web Services) Knowledge in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery and Json Good communication, interpersonal skills backed by sound analytical, technical, and leadership skills.
