Job Title: Open VMS Consultant Work Location: Charleston, SC 29407 (onsite) Duration: 11 Months Minimum years of experience: 8+years Job Description: Seeking Infrastructure- Open VMS Consultant Installation, Configuration & Maintenance of ALPHA/Itanium Servers/OpenVMS 8.3,8.4 OS (Operating System). Writing a DCL script for various purposes i.e. monitoring script which enables to get the alert for any occurrences before they reach to threshold value (Disk space, CPU, Memory etc.). System parameters Tuning and monitoring the performance of servers in clustered environment. Backup strategy and Disaster recovery in critical situation. Installation and Configuration of DECNET/TCPIP services on VMS environment. Mentoring the team for a quality delivery of services to meet the SLA timeline. Upgrade the technical skills of the team as and when required for the best delivery of the services. Batch queues and Print Queues and Generic queues management. License management and memory management. Escalating any issues to higher management which is impacting the business if needed. Web sphere MQ configuration and problem resolution on VMS environment.
