The ideal candidate will be a senior specialist able to function independently and understand the importance of database integrity in terms of both efficiency and security. This is a production operational role where proactive measures need to be practiced and applied. As a Senior DBA you will be responsible for configuration management, performance tuning and administration of mission critical production databases. You will perform short and long term database operations planning and analysis. Integrate/collaborate with application development and support teams on various IT projects. To excel in this role, you will need: - Significant experience in Linux/Unix environment - Significant experience with Oracle RAC v19C or greater - Practical knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager practical skills in SQL and PL/SQL scripting and tuning - In-depth knowledge of Oracle internals - Extensive experience in performance tuning - Structured Root Cause Analysis skills - Backup and recovery planning and implementation skills including RMAN - Experience with Oracle streams and other replication technologies - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to support multiple projects/applications at once [A Security Clearance may be required, in the future, during the affiliate contract.] Under direct supervision, learns to design and/or secure computer databases to store, track, and maintain a large volume of critical business information. Assists with simple, routine database tasks. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university OR Three years of software applications experience designing, testing, and coding applications of related databases.
