We are seeking a leader that can take on the task with the mounting responsibility of projects that create substantive changes for an organization with an expectation to achieve business results within a certain set of tight time-frames. As the Project manager you must understand the organizational structure of the transformation team, as it determines roles, authorities, and responsibilities of the team. Skill Sets for Transformation Project management skills (domain expertise) This is the project management knowledge used to manage, plan, and monitor the progress of projects. These skills are fundamental for transformation project managers. Unlike business-as-usual projects, transformation projects require even more rigorous discipline in managing scope, time, and resources. Transformation projects require a much faster speed of delivery to keep pace with the changes and to sustain project momentum. The agile methodology, with daily stand-ups, release planning, and backlog reviews, is a common practice used to manage transformation projects. Leadership capabilities (competency in guiding and motivating) Transformation initiatives lead to major changes in an organizations business process, technology platform, and people. At its core, it steers the culture of change in an organization. Embracing these changes is one of the utmost-challenging tasks for transformation project managers. Communication, the ability to influence people, effective collaboration with other leaders and across the team, and motivating and inspiring others are essential leadership traits for project managers leading transformation initiatives for organizations. Strategic and business management expertise (business-oriented skills)this skill set consists of knowledge and expertise in ones industry or organization and the subsequent ability to align the team in a way that enhances performance and better delivers business outcomes In addition you will need the following PM skills Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with minimum 5+ years of IT experience with PMP (Project Management Professional) certification desirable. General Project Management knowledge in the area of IT/IS required. Must have a thorough knowledge of Project Management disciplines and processes. Demonstrated customer focus with the ability to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders. Ability to operate within a pressurized environment, high visibility programs, consistently delivering results and achieving objectives on time and within the agreed parameters. Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate to steering committee, reference teams and stakeholders (including project plans, announcements, metrics/KPIs, etc.) and with local, global and cross-divisional virtual teams. Demonstrate negotiation skills in interaction with internal and external customers. Ability to assess, propose and implement solutions for rapid recovery of troubled or challenged work streams. Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work in United States. Fluent spoken and written English is a must.
