Resource need to collaborate with customers and partners on Oracle databases including but not limited to providing solution for managed services, migration solution to in-premises/clouds/across data centres, Oracle DBs hosted on premise/OCI. Job Description: Core responsibilities: Use considerable technical expertise and judgement to define and implement technical database solutions that support the business needs. Provide optimization and design skills, including deployment and support in the Oracle database systems both on-premise and OCI. Knowledge of multiple OCI IaaS/PaaS/SaaS services. Proficient in RMAN, OEM, Multitenancy databases & DR Well versed in OCI IAM/IDCS policies and administration. Refine / Develop Oracle strategies and capacity planning. Ensure Oracle database system desired performance and security baselines are met as per business need. Ensure HA / DR database environments are operational and consistent as per business requirements. Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain the Oracle environment. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in work practices Participate in after-hours changes and patching. Provide strategic input to design and quality assurance of Oracle database technology solutions. Confer with systems users to develop areas of change in requirements, which permit greater efficiency, systems integration or cost reduction Provide effective and efficient database system support to customers meeting all ticket / requests / Change SLAs. Assist application support teams with performance tuning and troubleshooting. Contribute to the creation of technical strategies Continually evaluate working practices and procedures to help the implementation of cost-effective database methodologies. Additional responsibilities include: Manage various tools to monitor / provision / patch / upgrade Oracle databases. Provide strategic inputs / advice on end to end Database Solutions for Technology projects. Research and drive long term database strategies and solutions. Availability for out of hours scheduled work such as change implementation and Disaster Recovery tests. Liaison with customers and vendors. Provide consultancy to other technical and project teams regarding technical issues pertaining to database environments. Develop and maintain installation, configuration and maintenance policies and standards Participate in disk space management. Execution of major and minor database work requests. Relevant technology domains: Experience in proposing & implementing solution in mentioned areas: Oracle Databases 9i/10g /11g, 12c, 19c and above. Oracle RAC and Data Guard Setup Autonomous Databases Tools: SQL Developer, TOAD Operating System: Unix OEL & RHEL, Windows Cloud Technologies : OCI Hands on Experience managing databases on OCI (IaaS & PaaS services like VMDB, Bare Metal, ATP / ADW) Experience on Migration of on-premise Oracle DBs to OCI cloud is value add Technical Professional Summary Experience in capacity planning, space management, database upgrades/migration Experience in Logical and Physical Design of Databases for OLTP and Data Warehouse. Expertise in handling Very Large Database (VLDB) and OLTP environment Expertise in Performance tuning the production database towards optimal performance based on the changes in the database storage structures due to application change requirements. Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the Database through Database Tuning Tuning Applications, Tuning Memory, Tuning Disk Usage, Tuning OS Experience in Oracle 9i,10g,11g,12c, 19c Installation and implementation Expert in ORACLE Database Administration including planning/implementing backup/recovery strategies Expertise in installation and configuration of Oracle and large databases on Unix Operating System Advanced Backup and Recovery using Oracles RMAN offline/online for recovery Manage RAC environment for Day to Day Database administrator, Performance Tuning Installation of RAC and Managing RAC Environment efficiently Database tuning, Application Tuning & performance monitoring. Fine tuning Initialization parameters, I/O, Memory and Operating System kernel parameters. Good experience with various method of migrating database from On-Premise to Oracle Cloud with minimum downtime. Experience in network connectivity from Oracle Cloud to On-Premise. Experience in network connectivity between Oracle cloud and Azure cloud using Interconnect. Experience in creating and managing users, groups and policies. Experience in logical segregation of resources using compartment at different level. Expertise of implementing environment hardening at different level.
