Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks. Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Conduct data engineering, data maintenance, strategic analysis, and other IT system development work required to ensure datasets are accurate and operational. The analyst will use Power BI to develop actionable visualizations to: Assist with targeting Educate staff on our data Identify database gaps. Target audiences for dashboards include account executives, energy efficiency consultants, and other program leadership Design and Develop data products within Tableau, SAP Business Objects, Alteryx and which include Reports, Dashboards and underlying ETL workflows Responsibilities include ensuring IT standards are met, production readiness processes are followed, and a quality system product is delivered into production Capture Business requirements and formulate technical design and documentation for reporting solutions. Troubleshoot, diagnose, research, recommend and implement workable, realistic solutions for any enhancement or issue related to existing Tableau and SAP BOBJ environments Prepare and execute test plans for new functionality Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs Work with cross-functional teams, including with business leaders to design, develop and evolve reporting and analytics solutions while guiding them on the best business intelligence practices. Data driven and systems-thinking approach to solving complex problems Requirements Gathering and Documentation Capture Business requirements and formulate technical design and documentation for reporting solutions Publish communication related to the deployment of new functionality Translate user requirements into technical specifications and design documents Required Education/Skills Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related specialized field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Specialized certification may be required. Typically possesses four or more years experience in the field performing analysis and providing recommendations. Ability to provide extensive technical analysis in data planning, engineering and design and make decisions or recommendations for programs and projects development and implementation. Ability to interface with clients to determine requirements.
