Ten (10) years experience in network/IT solutions, network design, development and analysis, routing and switching protocols, WAN technologies (datacenters, wireless, wired, voice, video, convergence, security, remote access, load balancers, content filtering) 7+ years of relevant experience in data center operations and planning deployments Considerable knowledge of the defined components of networking and connectivity infrastructure. Knowledge of the principles, tools and techniques required for the management and control of ICT within an organisation. Good understanding of the physical aspects of network equipment (power options, cabling, XFP/SFP, Copper, Fiber, Racks, etc.). Previous experience supporting DoD/IC/Government customers. Experience of working according to ITIL processes, e.g. Incident Management, Change Management. Knowledge / experience of third-party supplier / vendor management (network products, telecommunication services, cloud technologies and professional services). Experience with bandwidth monitoring methods including those for NetFlow, NetFlow Analyzers, and Ethernet and OTN. Architect and design Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Service Function Chaining (SFC), & application virtualization capabilities Design and Implementation of network caching and WAN optimization technologies. Knowledge of project management tools and techniques. Knowledge of LAN/WAN design and operations Knowledge and experience with Network and Element Management tools.
