Job role: Network Test Engineer Location: Richardson, TX, US, 75082 Duration: 6 months (extendable) Job Description: Responsibilities: Understand System Specifications of DWDM products (both transponder and line systems) and develop required Test Plans Work with a team of Test experts and test Network Element Software and Hardware functions Develop Automated Suites to ensure a high degree of automation for the tests Have keen eye to improve productivity by using automation in CI/CD pipelines Support problem investigation and reproduction during System Test Utilize deep knowledge of Optical Transponders and Line Systems to test Network Elements Utilize deep knowledge of of NBI like CLI, Netconf, RestConf, WebUI etc to test Network Elements Skills & Knowledge: Hands-on experience in understand requirement specifications and testing Optical Network Elements Strong hands-on project experience in building Python, expect, scripts etc for test automation Hands on experience in testing SONET/SDH/DWDM products. Direct experience working in automation for embedded products, simulated images using Qemu, Containers etc Experience in the use and operation of optical test equipment including Optical Test sets, optical power meters, etc. Design, develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures and automated test tools. Sound understanding of continuous integration (CI/CD) frameworks Familiarity with Git, JIRA, Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Desirable to have experience deploying and automating Docker Containers on bare metal hardware (required), cloud (preferred) Excellent communication skills. Experience & Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience Minimum of 8 years of System Test experience Hands-on experience in understand requirement specifications and testing Optical Network Elements Hands on experience in testing SONET/SDH/DWDM/Data products. Strong experience with Automation tools, Git, Gerrit, JIRA, Familiar with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Experience in Linux or any equivalent UNIX flavors Mandatory skills: Hands on experience in testing SONET/SDH/DWDM products, hands-on project experience in building Python, expect, scripts for test automation.
