UX Information Architect Role

The purpose of a User Experience (UX) Architect is to structure information to match user needs. This role focuses on organizing information and design strategies using data from stakeholder working sessions, persona-based interviews, usability testing and industry research on how users interact with Guilds digital experiences.

The UX Architect will coordinate with the Product Teams SQUAD through tools such as Jira, Figma and Dovetail

Artifacts / Deliverables:

1. Conducts research, interviews, workshops, and surveys

2. User Workflows by Persona and Use Case

3. Sitemaps / System Maps

4. Wireframes in Low Fidelity (for quick visual requirement elicitation) and High Fidelity (for final delivery) using the Design Systems re-usable components5. Figma Prototypes (for enhanced requirement elicitation)

Job Specific Skills and Competencies

Develops the process/approach for tackling a design problem, using known methods; anticipates problems - engages cross-functional teams to tackle issues. Goes beyond best practices and uncovers novel, unexpected, but still workable solutions.

Storytelling and persuasion techniques build trust with partners and establish long-term relationships; comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization; demonstrates confidence and charisma.

Experience design, workshop facilitation, journey mapping, design thinking, etc.

Plan, design, and conduct research sessions of all types.

Create personas Frame questions and create hypotheses that help teams get to the core of what theyre trying to solve.

Partner with the team to find insights from research and communicate them to stakeholders.

Take insights, make sense of what was learned and guide the team with a clear direction forward.

Map user and business needs and opportunities using tools and frameworks like experience maps, customer journey maps, and blueprints.

Pull data and information from both within the business and the outside world to layer with insights and help guide decisions.

Create prototypes of varying fidelity for both learning and communication tools.

Qualifications

8 years of UX Design experience with an emphasis on Information Architecture

5 years experience in Enterprise level Product Design across Web and Mobile

2 years experience working as a lead in a cross-functional team

Expertise in Figma Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Comfortable working within the User-Centered Design process with SMEs substituting for the end user

Must Haves:

Should be an expert on Figma

Should have experience or have created design systems

Should have worked with Stakeholders to manage their expectations and should take accountability

Should be an person who can execute and not just architect or direct the UX flows
