Additionally, this is an onsite position for the initial first 3 months and then a hybrid position after that, located in Bellevue, Washington. where they would like the candidate to come in 3 times a week. Position Title: EDI Developer/analyst How long of Contract: 6-month cth Remote/Onsite (or timeline for transition from remote to onsite): Renton, WA (Seattle) Only renton office available so Seattle area candidates or relocations if necessary) Onsite -3 days a week after first 3 months New employees every day for first 3 months Required Tech/Experience (Manager wont consider candidates without the following): 5+ years experience in code development, scripting, workflow, data mapping Must be familiar with X12 and EDIFACT EDI standards Experience with EDI and SAP IDOC Mapping required Knowledge of software design and testing methodologies Willingness to learn On call availability (24x7) for system support Needs to understand how to gather requirements like a business analyst and understand how those may affect the business but otherwise the technical is the most important here so developer with some good Comms and understanding BA like duties Typical Day to Day (Tasks & Responsibilities): This EDI Analyst/Developer is responsible for implementing and supporting Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Solutions using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator. The developer will be part of a team that develops and deploys EDI solutions for global business systems Requisition Summary This EDI Analyst/Developer is responsible for implementing and supporting Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Solutions using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator. The developer will be part of a team that develops and deploys EDI solutions for global business systems. Job Functions/ Responsibilities Collaborate with internal and external customers to identify requirements and deliver high quality EDI integrations that are efficient, scalable and maintainable Develop translation specifications from requirements. Interpret, clarify, and code to specifications. Maintain and enhance existing implementations. Production support of EDI transaction maps and related business processes Qualifications 5+ years experience in code development, scripting, workflow, data mapping Must be familiar with X12 and EDIFACT EDI standards. Experience with EDI and SAP IDOC Mapping required. Knowledge of software design and testing methodologies Willing to learn new technologies. Effective communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment, customer support environment and with all levels of the organization. On call availability (24x7) for system support Experience with automotive, manufacturing or distribution companies a plus Agile/ Scrum experience is preferred. Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field desired Years Experience/Degree Requirements/Certification: 5+ years exp.
