Provide and implement performance-tuning recommendations of all components in Exadata database machine. Advise, provide guidance, and develop Disaster Recovery strategies for the Exadata Database machine. Solid skills to configure Exadata to meet company internal security requirement. Analyze and determine the feasibility of advantage the Oracle Enterprise Manager solution to report on performance, provide metrics, and become the centralized proactive maintenance solution for Exadata distributions. Develop and record certified processes/procedures for all potential IT downstream support groups to maintain and upgrade the Exadata database machine. Integration of Exadata monitoring and escalation into existing IT monitoring and actionable events solutions. Backup and Recovery issues related loss of OCR, Voting Disk and Oracle cluster ware also issues with corruption of individual disk data blocks, loss of OS configuration files, loss of net configuration files. Also used the Merge backup for backing terabyte databases. Issues with block change tracking also flash recovery area. Solid skills in upgrading 10/11g/12c RAC to 19c R2 RAC. Extensive hands-on experiences in installation configuration Oracle Grid Infrastructure Database Software Troubleshooting using cluvfy handling common issues that arise during integration of the whole bugs, network issues, configuration files issues, OCR issue, DE installation cleanup of clusterware Cellcli, DCLI, ASMCMD, HCC, Partitioning, IORM, OEM 13c, Flash Cache TFA, Sundiag, ADRCI, ILOM Snapshot collection. Roles and Responsibility : Hardware installation and maintenance: A database machine required periodic maintenance like firmware upgrade or replacement of any failure component of the machine. Network Administration: Exadata comes with CISCO ethernet switch for Management and ILOM network, InfiniBand switches for cell and DB Node connectivity so management of network is also included in DMA's task. General knowledge of network topology required to manage InfiniBand switches. Operating System Administration: Linux or Solaris OS administration. Also, manage server availability during patching with high availability management. Setting up users, applying patches, managing disk space, NFS mount, Exadata Storage Administration: Important component of Exadata. In depth knowledge is required to manage the cell servers as this is the main component of Exadata which also configured with Exadata Storage Software. It includes monitoring of cell disk, grid disk, cell flash cache, flash disks, OS administration, InfiniBand connectivity administration. Maintain storage availability during patching. Grid Infrastructure Administration: Includes cluster ware, ASM disk group, mirrored cell group as Exadata managed mirroring on ASM level not cell level. Database Administration: Includes single instance, single instance on ASM, one or more RAC node database. Exadata specific parameters. Deep knowledge of Oracle Grid Infrastructure, Cluster ware, ASM, RAC internal, Active Data Guard in RAC environment. Designing, planning, designing, developing, deploying and supporting Oracle RAC/ASM environment. Extensive hands-on experiences in installation configuration Oracle Grid Infrastructure Database Software Troubleshooting using cluvfy handling common issues that arise during integration of the whole bugs, network issues, configuration files issues, OCR issue, DE installation cleanup of clusterware Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations. Installation and configuration of OEM 13c, Integration of OEM 13c with Exadata, Monitoring of Exadata using Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c, Understanding of ASR, Experience of ASR implementation and configuration, Administration experience of ASR, good understanding of management for Exadata through ILOM. Good hands-on LINUX/Solaris operating system, Basic knowledge of Unix shell scripting, Unix user management experience, Basic Unix administration Nice to Have EXADATA DMA Certified Professional Oracle certified professional (OCP) Handled database estate of various technologies. Experience in other domains such as Storage, Backup, Network, Middleware and UNIX. Manage and administer Oracle database instances cdb-pdb maintenance tasks, pdb cloning.. Hands-on experience on Oracle & Exadata Administration Process & Tools Service Request and Incident, Problem, Change managements. Configuration, Capacity planning and Knowledge management Experience on ITIL Tools like Remedy, Service Now or any other ticketing tool.
