He is not looking for a straight DevOps engineer or a straight developer, but someone who can do the Windows admin/engineering + the automation development skill set. mostly Windows OS focus and supporting Automation for Jenkins Pipeline and Ansible Playbooks for Windows OS provisioning. Powershell and Github knowledge should be part of the experience and Azure / GCP public Cloud automation. Must haves: 5+ years system engineering with Windows Server administration PowerShell and GitHub knowledge with public cloud automation (Azure/GCP) 4+ years writing scripts with Open Source technologies (Ansible/Terraform preferred) Proven track record of supporting Automation for Jenkins Pipeline and Ansible Playbooks for Windows OS provisioning Ability to show examples of script development via GitHub or work sample Windows Server Administrator with Automation Experience Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Windows Server Administrator with Automation expertise to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining Windows servers and related infrastructure. Additionally, the candidate should have strong technical skills in DevOps and automation to streamline and optimize system administration tasks. The Candidate will partner with Product Managers and Product Owners to develop automation that will support repeatability, compliance, and availability. Key Responsibilities: 5+ years of experience in Windows Server Administration and automation. Primary responsibilities supporting Jenkins & Ansible for Cloud Automation. Configure and manage Windows servers and related infrastructure. Develop and maintain automation scripts to automate repetitive tasks. Installing/upgrading server-based applications; deploying applications/solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and reliability. Implement and maintain security policies to ensure system security and compliance. Manage user accounts and permissions on Windows servers. Document server configurations and procedures. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, including problem resolution and must work well in a team environment. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Windows Server administration. Experience with PowerShell, Hashicorp Packer, or other automation scripting languages. Experience with MS Endpoint Configuration Manager Experience with Windows Server 2019/2022 Administration. Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Microsoft Windows Server or related technologies. Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services (e.g., Azure, GCP). Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, routing, and VLANs. Familiarity with source control tools such as Git or SVN.
