[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Position: IT CMDB Specialist Work Location: Must be 2 days On-site from Day One Duration: Long Term Rate: Quote your best Locals or nearby consultants highly preferred Resource MUST Provide LinkedIn Profile & valid Photo ID (no exceptions) Duties & Responsibilities: Administer, lead, and carry out all aspects of configuration management processes to ensure the accuracy of the CMDB. Identify and rationalize various data sources populating the CMDB Act as the centralized point of CMDB using ServiceNow Work with IT Operations team and Software Development to ensure hardware assess are discovered and classified in the configuration management database (CMDB) Identify important metric targets, establish baselines, help drive results improvements, measure, and report results Interface with ServiceNow platform team to drive end-to-end technical excellence with the goal of eliminating manual processes and simplifying workflows for complex procedures Generate reports for hardware assets to provide to the Security Compliance team as well as other groups as needed Update and reconcile hardware attributes such as environment, function, status, and business owners for all servers and network devices Develop a quarterly recertification process of ensuring all hardware assets are still in use and information is current Assisting in developing standard IT configuration management methodology, and the development of CMDB policy, processes, and knowledge base Working with Cross-functional teams with multiple product owners Assists Configuration management in conducting configuration audits and reconciliation Must have skills: Should have 10+ years of strong working knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery. Must have the ability to manage and control the CMDB and ensure the accuracy of configuration data and proper reporting. Should have expertise of cleaning, managing, and controlling the CMDB. Must have experience maintaining an accurate inventory of Hardware Devices to ensure inventories can feed applications that depend on inventory. 3 - 4 years of working knowledge of IT Configuration and Asset Management processes Bachelors degree and/or relevant technical training and certifications.
