Position: 100% Remote Azure / Databricks & BI Data Architect (Team Lead) Location: 100% Remote Duration: 12 months Job Description: Job Title: Azure / Databricks & BI Data Architect (Team Lead) Experienced, hands-on Data & Analytics Solution Architect and Team Lead, minimum 10 years experience. Masters Degree preferred. Exceptional English, written and verbal communications skills Required. Must have extensive experience with Azure Cloud and Databricks, and modern DW and ETL data modeling and design. (Month 1 - Month 3) o Lead, assist, and guide BA team to document overall project scope, data, and reporting needs & functional requirements o Deep dive review and assessment of current data models and ETLs (The company IT and BI team managed ETLs) o Lead and assist BA team to finalize Security Requirements o Complete Data Models and Mappings for Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers Infrastructure/Security Setup (Month 1 - Month 2) o Work with and support the Infrastructure Engineer team to establish and test the Data & Analytics architecture components o Identify and assess existing Infrastructure standards and define and document go forward Infrastructure Standards o Establish and document cloud platform Service Accounts, Roles and Policies o Provide detailed Data and Analytics design for production environment to be enabled prior to production go-live Technology Pilot (Month 3 - Month 5) o Work with The Company to finalize Pilot scope including the source system/data source, star schema, and BI Reports o Lead and assist the team with development and test of the data pipeline, data warehouse, and ETL framework o Work with The Companys BI team to set up the BI Reports and Semantic model for the Pilot scope o Work with BA team to perform Data Validation and work with The Companys BI Team to UAT the selected BI Reports o Work with BA team to update documentation as necessary Implementation (Month 6 - Month 9) o Lead and assist with development and test of any remaining Data & Analytics Track changes as a result of the pilot o Lead and assist development of next data sources and star schemas in tandem with The Companys Data Engineers to ensure The Company is prepared for continued development o Lead and assist The Companys BI Team with design of semantic layer and Power BI reports o Update and Finalize Data & Analytics track documentation o Complete Knowledge Transfer and Training for the Companys Data Engineering team If you are interested, please share your updated resume and suggest the best number & time to connect with you.
