Some specifics about what they are seeking in a candidate are as follows: Required to have previous experience as an IT Project Manager in Washington State or government. Hybrid role (Olympia, WA) which is not too far from Seattle. So candidate must live there. Prior State of Washington IT Project Management Experience HCA needs someone who has experience with WaTech processes and requirements. They are seeking someone who has specific State of Washington experience to plan and lead the projects work in adhering to all of the various elements for Washington IT Projects, including but not limited to funding requests, budget development, various WaTech review processes (i.e. Security Review, Architecture Review, etc), working with a QA provider and OCIO Oversight Consultant, etc. Experience leading procurement processes for software and related services in the public sector, including development of solicitation documents, software demonstration programs, reference cWe have an opportunity with the Washington Health Care Authority to source a highly strategic, long term senior PM need. HCA and DOH are collaborating on the States 988 initiative. 988 is the federally designated number to reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NPSL) a national network of trained providers that offer free and confidential support services for individuals in crisis. 988 went live across the county in June of last year. In 2021 the Washington State Legislature passed the Crisis Call Center and Services Act (E2SHB 1477) to enhance and expand behavioral health crisis response and suicide prevention services statewide. The 988 initiative being executed by HCA and DOH concerns the implementation of that legislation related to enhancements to the crisis call and response platform and the behavioral health integrated client referral system. I have attached the States Technical and Operational Plan that provides significantly more details about the nature of the project. HCA is seeking to engage a contracted PM for the remaiheck questionnaires, scoring programs etc., leading teams through the proposal evaluation process, providing advice and guidance on vendor proposal strengths and weaknesses, and leading the contracting process Significant experience leading teams through the implementation phase of technology driven transformation initiatives and standing up new programs Displays significant individual initiative and is comfortable and experienced with driving the work of the team, setting the tone and expectations for quality and productivity, and productively and constructively engaging when individuals or individual teams are not performing in accordance with expectations Highly proficient in working with an array of stakeholder groups, executive leadership, and elected officials. This is a visible initiative with participation from an array of stakeholders both within Washington government and outside entities. There will also be significant collaboration and coordination with another State agency. This will require someone with an engaging personality who is adept at navigating and negotiating the terrain that comes with this environment while successfully keeping the project on track and delivering the desired results within established budgets and timeframes. Adept at working within and leveraging governance structures to keep the project moving forward and effectively address significant risks and obstacles Passionate about their work.
