Role: Application Security Manager Location: Waukegan, IL Onsite Duration: 6+ Months Interview: Video/ Phone 2 MS Teams THIS IS APPLICATION SECURITY POSITION!!! PLEASE DO NOT SEND NETWORK/INFRASTRUCTURE SECURITY RESUMES!!! POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage a collaborative team of engineers to develop, implement and maintain secure systems and applications. Identify and develop standard controls to ensure application security throughout the organization. Evaluate application environments to ensure theyre in compliance with InfoSec standards and industry best practices. Manage, produce and publish status reports, project documentation, technical notifications and application security changes to internal clients. Drive continuous improvement by identifying and addressing vulnerabilities in the companys security programs to reduce financial, legal, compliance and privacy risk. Integrating security tools, standards, and processes into the product life cycle (PLC). Ensuring that developers and QA personnel are trained with the appropriate level of security knowledge to perform their daily activities. Improving and supporting Application Security tool deployments including static analysis and runtime testing tools. Improving and maintaining secure development standards. Supporting the incident response and architecture review processes whenever application security expertise is needed. Managing application framework and perimeter security improvement projects. Supporting Vendor Security activities to ensure 3rdparty software and development meets the companys security standards. Integrating threat modeling practices into the product life cycle. Providing security requirements for testdriven design. Producing metrics reporting the state of application security programs and performance of development teams against requirements. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in Application Development or Database Administration!!! Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Incident response management experience. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
