Develop and support appropriate complex programs and systems documentation according to established IT standards. Develop strategies for the continued planning, scheduling, and coordination of system tests for reliability, scalability, and maintainability and monitor test results in order to take or assign required corrective action. Ensure that departmental standards are documented, designed, distributed and updated on a regular basis for assigned systems development planning, product performance, support and monitoring. Provide reports on project development status to software engineering management on a regular and timely basis. Provide technical consultation in new systems development and enhancement of existing systems; participate in structured walkthroughs and technical reviews. Act as advisor to Sr. level IT management concerning strategic decisions concerning legacy and new technology Acts as ADI interface to Technical Operations Group for tuning, expansion, capacity and technical considerations of supported applications Experience 12+ years progressive work related experience in ERP systems development and administration with demonstrated mastery of technical and business knowledge and understanding of multiple discipline/processes related to the position. Typically leads/mentors less experienced staff or complex projects in area of expertise. TechnicalSkills and Knowledge Demonstrated knowledge of related software architectures and development methodologies Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and technical design techniques. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated proficiency in establishing and maintaining a high level of customer trust and confidence in the software engineering team's knowledge of the customers' business needs. Demonstrated proficiency in adapting to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs. Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation. Demonstrated ability to lead, direct and influence less experienced personnel in the creation of efficient and scalable applications Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff. Specialized Technical Skills(development experience in one or more disciplines required) 8+ years work related experience in PeopleSoft, including major Application upgrades and Implementations 5+ years work related experience in PeopleSoft Administration, including App., Web Servers and Batch Scheduler installation and configuration, as well as Change Control and Migration procedures Demonstrated knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials 9.x Application Demonstrated knowledge of PeopleTools 8.5x development techniques, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, SQR, XMLP and BI Publisher. Experience customizing PeopleSoft Workflow Demonstrated knowledge of JAVA, J2EE, OO, XML, Web Services, Internet/Extranet/Intranet, Integration Broker and Application Messaging Deep knowledge of Linux, Unix and Windows platforms, Unix scripting.
