Design and develop ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) solutions. Optimize database performance through a number of techniques including but not limited to: indexing, query optimization, database design. Participate in periodic High Availability / Disaster Recovery tests of critical systems. Proactively monitor database performance, capacity planning and resource consumption. Provide day to day support for databases and database applications. Upgrade and patch DBMSs. Ensure databases and database objects are backed up according to business requirements, and recovery procedures are tested and documented. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field. 5 plus years of experience in Database Management / Data Integration. Proficient in one or more Database Management Systems (e.g. DB2i, DB2 LUW, DataStax, Oracle, SQL Server). Familiar with one or more replication technologies (e.g. DTShare, CDC, SQL Replication, Attunity) Ability to read a Logical Data Model a plus.
