We are seeking a skilled WindowsSystems Engineer to join our team. As a Windows Systems Engineer, you will beresponsible for the administration and management of our Microsoft systems,including Windows Server, IIS, SQL, and related services. Your expertise willextend to AWS infrastructure, allowing you to support our cloud-basedenvironments. The role involves handling various tasks, from troubleshootingcomplex issues to ensuring optimal system performance across our networks,servers, and databases. Qualifications /Requirements: To excel in this role, you must possess the followingqualifications and experience: At least 5 years ofhands-on experience supporting and administering Windows systems. Minimum of 5 years ofexperience with web-based applications on Microsoft IIS. A minimum of 3 yearsof expertise in administering Microsoft System Center Operations Manager. Proven proficiency inmanaging Microsoft Hyper-V infrastructure. Extensive experiencewith Microsoft System Center Operations Manager and Configuration Manager. Solid background inmanaging Windows Updates and Patching using Windows Server Update Services(WSUS). Basic understanding ofAWS Cloud Infrastructure. A Bachelor's Degree inInformation Systems/Computer Science or related disciplines, or relevantMicrosoft Certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE). Strong fundamentals inWindows Server administration, including Active Directory (AD), DNS, and GroupPolicy. Demonstrated scriptingskills, particularly with PowerShell. Familiarity with networking,common protocols, and mail-related concepts. Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with bothtechnical and non-technical staff. Exceptionalorganizational and time management abilities. Strong problem-solvingand critical-thinking capabilities. Experience supportingand administering Linux systems. AWS Cloud Practitioneror AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification. Knowledge of cloudplatforms such as AWS or Azure. Additional scriptingskills with Python, JSON, or YAML. Prior experience withbackup and restore using tools like Veeam, Rubrik, Commvault, Backup Exec, etc. KeyResponsibilities: As a Windows Systems Engineer, your primary responsibilitieswill include: Providingtechnical support and maintenance for Microsoft Windows and IIS systems in bothon-premises and AWS environments. ManagingWindows web services, SSL certificates, and general server configurations,ensuring security and patch installations. Conductingin-depth technical root cause analysis to troubleshoot high-priority IIS/Webservices issues and resolve complex performance challenges. Collaboratingwith clients, ranging from end-users to experienced IT teams, to addressintricate Windows server, IIS, and network issues. Utilizingmonitoring tools like SCOM to maintain, analyze, and optimize systemperformance, ensuring compliance with service level agreements. Identifyingand resolving customer technical issues impacting operations, escalating toappropriate teams when necessary. Workingclosely with cloud engineers and development teams to enhance issue resolutionand streamline processes. Participatingin both independent and team-based projects, contributing to the advancement ofour systems. Assistingwith operational tasks such as server monitoring, patching, and other dutiesusing SCOM, SCCM, and WSUS. Leveragingyour scripting skills, particularly PowerShell, to automate repetitive tasksand improve overall efficiency. Demonstratingstrong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and technical skills to tacklecomplex challenges effectively. Continuouslyexpanding your knowledge and skills, staying up-to-date with industry trends. Encouragingknowledge-sharing and collaboration within the team.
