Job Title: Data Modeler Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid 1 x week OR 1week in a Month) - MUST BE LOCALS Duration: 12 months contract Description Partner with project teams, vendors, support organizations, functional architects, systems specialists and other technical resources to gather information requirements and deliver data modeling solutions for Business and technology functions. Improve the overall analysis of business requirements and delivering well architected and efficient physical database designs that reduce time to market for making design decisions. Assist in developing guidelines and standards for the data modeling checklist, governance process and for cataloging and maintaining data repositories. Help to drive conformance to the data strategy. Bring industry thought leadership to Technology. Experience 5+ years of Data Modeling experience Strong Data modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical, 3nF, Dimensional) at both a project and enterprise level Transactional and Operational Modeling with experience in creating conformed dimensions that can be used across Business Units. Data Modeling Tool such as PowerDesigner, Oracle Designer or Erwin Experience working with Data Engineering and Data Analytics teams. Ability to write SQL to query data (ideally ANSI SQL) Skills Strong analytic skills Excellent written and oral communication skills. Results oriented with demonstrable ability to work independently.
