Must have CCNA Level Cert. Oil and gas industry exp. Mus t have Will not do design work but will remote into thedifferent oil rigs to assess environment to know what needs to be upgrades /replaced. Responsible for the daily administration of anetwork and server environment working with the oil rigs. Installs, configures, and maintains systemsoftware. Monitors network performance, troubleshoots issues, and deployssolutions. Documents network issues and events usingstandard formats. Plans and implements upgrades, patches, and newapplications and equipment installation. Uses scripting and writes basic programs toautomate processes. Maintains and follows disaster recovery,security, backup, and restore plans. May evaluate new tools or equipment and performanalysis/feasibility studies to guide decisions on optimizing networkperformance. Occasionally directed in several aspects of thework. Gaining exposure to some of the complex taskswithin the job function. 2-4 years of related experience.
