Title : Mainframe Security Engineer REMOTE East Coast/Central Time preferred US citizen/Green Card preferred (Mainframe Security Engineer for Encryption deliverables) Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: - Current state assessment of all mainframe access points (ingress and egress) for data in motion - Perform gap analysis, determine technical approach to deliver capability of enabling encryption of data in motion, and create a prioritized plan for user/application adoption - Work with Network Engineering team to implement security controls (on mainframe) to enable encryption of data in motion (certificate installations, APIs, etc.) - Define Certificate lifecycle management processes and automation for mainframe certificates in TSS/RACF - Assist infrastructure and application support technology teams during adoption of encrypted data transport - Produce and maintain project documents ensuring Project Management Office (PMO) compliance for project deliverables - Monitor progress against project plans and produce metrics /reporting to track progress Required: - Experience with mainframe security software ESM configuration/internals (IBM-RACF (Resource Access Control Facility) and CA -TSS (Top Secret Security)) - Strong understanding of encryption (technology solutions, protocols, best practices, etc.) and security concepts specific to mainframe - Experience with implementing digital certificates and entire certificate lifecycle- Experience with z/OS Encryption APIs and usage/configuration of Crypto cards - Ability to work with developers to leverage APIs - Experience with database technology (such as: Sybase, DB2 (preferred), SQL) Ability to program in at least one command - Mainframe batch and reporting language (such as: CARLA, REXX, CLIST, SAS) - College graduate with 5+ years related work experience on the mainframe - Capable of working independently with limited oversight - Good project planning, organization, time management skills and ability to multi-task - MS Office business application experience (Excel, Word, Power Point) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Must be a team player and foster a team first environment and culture Desired - Prior experience as Mainframe Systems Programmer or Mainframe Network Engineer - Experience with Pervasive Encryption Keywords: zos microsoft California |
