Position: Senior Financial Analyst Location: Eagan, MN (Need LOCAL candidates only ) Duration: 6 months Contract to hire Job Description: A large Minneapolis Distribution company is looking for a contract Senior Financial Analyst III. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial forecasting and analytical capabilities, with a specific focus on profit and loss (P&L) and capital expenditure (CapEx) analysis. You will also be responsible for supporting the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. In addition, you will collaborate closely with business partners to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. What Else Will You Do Support the development and maintenance of financial forecasting models, with a focus on P&L and CapEx analysis. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners to gather relevant financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets. Monitor and analyze key financial metrics, providing regular reports and recommendations to management. Partner with business leaders to understand their financial needs and provide guidance on financial implications of business decisions. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial forecasting and reporting. Stay updated on industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact financial performance. Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned. What Experience Should You Have Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting, preferably within a Fortune 500 company or a large multinational organization. Strong expertise in P&L and CapEx analysis, with a proven track record of providing actionable insights. Knowledge of financial systems and tools, such as SAP and financial planning software Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively. Experience partnering with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their financial needs and provide strategic guidance. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills. Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and analyze the impact of financial decisions on the overall business. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
