Work: Hybrid (3 days onsite/2 days remote) Duration: 6+ months contract MOI: Phone or Video No H1B/CPT (EADs with valid visa only) Job description: GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: To perform programmer/analyst function as it pertains to SQL server, PowerApps, and Reporting via SAP business objects and/or Crystal Reports; and to do related work as required. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the general direction of a Database Administrator with wide latitude for the exercise of initiative and independent judgment in systems development functions; work is subject to review upon completion for results obtained and conformance with agency policies and objectives. Knowledge, SKILLS, AND CAPACITIES: A thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques required in assessing the feasibility, applicability, necessity, goals and cost of data processing systems; a thorough knowledge of the capabilities, programming techniques and intricacies of automated systems and peripheral equipment; a thorough knowledge of relational database principles, practices and techniques; a working knowledge of the statutes, policies, and regulations pertinent to application content; the ability to apply such knowledge, principles, practices and methods effectively; the ability to communicate effectively with subordinates, superiors and departmental personnel; and related capacities and abilities. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: Such as may have been gained through: graduation from a college of recognized standing with a degree in computer science including or supplemented by successful completion of courses pertinent to the operating system/language specialties; and Experience: Such as may have been gained through: considerable employment in a position responsible for programming, reporting, data analysis, and systems development functions involving one or more pertinent application specialties. Or, any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: This position will be a 35-hour position from July January and then 20 hours from February June. Minimum of 5-10 years of knowledge and experience of the Software Development Life Cycle, preferably in an Agile environment, utilizing development, testing, and production environments.* Minimum of 5-10 years of intermediate knowledge and hands-on experience in Microsoft Web Server concepts and IIS setup and configuration management. Minimum of 2-3 years of intermediate knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and developing SQL queries utilizing SQL Server. Minimum of 2-3 years of intermediate to expert knowledge and hands-on experience with data conversion, migration, integration, and ETL. Knowledge and experience with Business Objects are desirable. Knowledge and experience with developing/analyzing reports in SAP Business Objects preferred. Knowledge and experience with developing/analyzing reports in Crystal Reports are desirable. Knowledge and experience with Python or equivalent programming languages are desirable.* Working knowledge and usage of Microsoft collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint. Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Power Apps development experience is highly desirable. * Business analysis and documentation experience. Experience with user setup and maintenance. Technical expertise in the understanding of project workflows. Self-starter work ethic who can adapt at providing exceptional results with limited supervision.
