As a Cassandra Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our DataStax Cassandra cluster, supporting Apache Solr integration and OpsCenter administration. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in DataStax Cassandra administration, Apache Solr, OpsCenter, GitHub, Ansible, Cassandra performance tuning, and have the ability to provide support for Cloudera Hadoop Administration and Confluent Kafka Administration. Responsibilities: Manage and administer the DataStax Cassandra cluster, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Configure and optimize Apache Solr integration with Cassandra for efficient search and indexing capabilities. Implement and maintain OpsCenter for centralized monitoring, performance analysis, and backup and recovery management. Design, implement, and maintain Cassandra database schemas, tables, and indexes to ensure optimal performance and efficient data storage. Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability. Monitor and optimize the performance of the Cassandra cluster, including tuning configurations, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, and optimizing queries. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective strategies for data replication, synchronization, and data migration. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible for efficient cluster management, deployment, and scaling. Provide support for Cloudera Hadoop Administration on a cluster, including installation, configuration, and maintenance with TLS. Provide support for Confluent Kafka Administration, including installation, configuration, and monitoring of Kafka clusters. Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance and support for integrating applications with the Cassandra cluster, Apache Solr, Hadoop, and Kafka. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in Cassandra administration, Apache Solr, OpsCenter, GitHub, Ansible, Cassandra performance tuning, Cloudera Hadoop Administration, and Confluent Kafka Administration, and proactively recommend improvements and enhancements. REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Proven experience as a DataStax Cassandra Administrator, managing large-scale Cassandra clusters in production environments. Expertise in DataStax Cassandra administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Strong proficiency in Apache Solr for search and indexing capabilities in conjunction with Cassandra. Experience in OpsCenter administration for monitoring, backup, recovery, and performance analysis. Proficiency in GitHub for version control and collaborative development. Extensive experience with Ansible for automation, configuration management, and deployment. In-depth knowledge of Cassandra performance tuning techniques, including query optimization, compaction strategies, and cluster configuration optimization. Ability to provide support for Cloudera Hadoop Administration on a cluster, including experience with TLS configurations. Ability to provide support for Confluent Kafka Administration, including installation, configuration, and monitoring of Kafka clusters. Solid understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, and high availability concepts. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Relevant certifications, such as DataStax Certified Cassandra Administrator, Cloudera Certified Administrator for Apache Hadoop (CCAH), or Confluent Certified Operator for Apache Kafka, are highly desirable EDUCATION LEVEL: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 15 years of professional experience.
