The manager askes very technical questions in the interview. Senior level resource with specialized knowledge & experience in application development (requirement gathering, analysis, design, development, testing & implementation) with emphasis on Salesforce, Force.com , object oriented programming & Client Server. Note: This is a Hybrid position - 3 Days On-Site, 2 Days Remote Under the direction of a supervisor in the Office of information Technology at the New Jersey Department of Education, this position will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions in Salesforce and integration solutions between Salesforce and other external systems. The candidate will liaison with different program offices, evaluate user requests, document functional and non-functional requirements, architect, develop and deploy solutions and ensure that the systems meet the desired specifications. Requirements: **Experience: (7)+ years of experience in application development activities including requirement gathering, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation with emphasis on Salesforce, Force.com , object oriented programming, and Client Server technologies. Note that Experience in the Salesforce declarative environment and Hands on experience with Salesforce configuration is required. **Certification:** Salesforce Certified Technical Architect or Developer certifications are preferred. **Communication Skills:** Ability to communicate ideas, concepts, and strategies effectively to both technical and non-technical individuals. **innovative Thinking:** Capable of thinking outside of the box and designing innovative solutions. **Documentation Skills:** Ability to document application specifications and develop solutions to satisfy project requirements. **Vendor Evaluation Skills:** Proficient in identifying and evaluating vendor/partner software and integration strategies. **Development Skills:** Able to code solutions to specification and define the system landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states. **Leadership Skills:** Ability to lead design sessions and communicate design options to clients, and serve as the lead project architect, being responsible for the new Salesforce technical requirements and providing best practices far implementation. **Testing Strategies:** Ability to identify and implement appropriate testing strategies, and participate in the testing process through review and analysis. **Deployment Skills:** Capable of executing all steps required to deploy/implement the application solution. **Teamwork:** Ability to work in a self- directed team environment, collaborating with project team members and QA on development, customer issues, and security requirements. **API Knowledge:** Experience with Salesforce Web Services Apls - Force.com SOAP and REST based Web Service Apls, the Bulk API, and the Metadata API is strongly preferred. **Agile Development: ** Experience in Agile development methodology is required. **Technical Skills:** Experience in Java, J2EE, Struts, JSP, JavaScript is required. **Strategic and Tactical Advice:** Ability to provide strategic and tactical advice to business stakeholders to help determine the value of implementing certain technologies. **Large-Scale Tech initiatives:** Experience supporting the planning, designing, and delivering of large-scale technology and/or infrastructure initiatives. **Salesforce implementation: Responsible for the build, configuration, and development of Salesforce solution. This includes design, development, and support of technology solutions to meet project/business needs, and installation and configuration of 3rd party AppExchange apps. **integration Expertise: Experience in providing technical expertise and guidance around technology implementation related to integration, and designing, developing, and supporting technology solutions to meet project/business needs related to integration.
