Job Description Come work for the Health Innovation Technology team at client California. As an Innovation Engineer you will be working as a part of the HIT development team. You will be responsible for evaluating new technologies, investigating new and emerging technologies and their application to healthcare. This role is part of an innovation team composed of a crack team of developers and strategists working in an agile manner whose primary mission is to successfully build disruptive new prototypes used to demonstrate the companys vision of how technology, data and analytics can be used to improve health care outcomes. You will be responsible for hands-on development as well as technical leadership that will include developing and testing architectures, suggesting tools or frameworks, and informing best practices. This is a highly visible role allowing you to share your knowledge and skills with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders in a highly collaborative environment. Some but not all duties will include: Investigating new and emerging technologies, innovations and opportunities, increasing company knowledge and gathering insight Develop concepts into commercially viable product offerings maturing them through the innovation lifecycle. Presentation of innovations and concepts. Filter and check feasibility of concepts. Attend ideation and design thinking sessions. Maintain project records and electronically file. Regular reporting of project status and attend regular project reviews. Assist in the handover of developed concept to a production support team. Keep up to date with latest technological developments, through attendance of conferences and trade shows and attending internal and external training where appropriate. Core Competencies: You are passionate about building and iterating on software, thrive in an R&D environment, and have a special creative knack for learning and tinkering. You will also enjoy building engaging interfaces for the web and mobile devices, love creating and persisting data models for use in micro-service architectures, and always looking to sharpen your skills across the front middle and back end tiers. Experience with heads down coding time as well as active participation in ideation activities and demonstrations. You want to be part of a collaborative innovation lab exploring emerging technologies including but not limited to blockchain, IoT, mobile development and much more. You are an expert software developer and a jack of all other trades. The biggest requirement to succeed in this position is the ability to rapidly learn and be able to implement things that you may be unfamiliar with. As such you will need a rock solid Computer Science foundation. Skills 7+ years of experience in a developer role Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong relationship building skills.
