Additional direct experience working with distributed teams including offshore centralized resources is desirable. Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously, taking ownership of tasks and delivering results with minimal supervision. Experience working in the technology industry or in a large corporate technology group (familiarity with industry-specific terminology and concepts). Professional services experience is helpful, but not required. Experience defining communications processes and protocols, including crisis response plans. Ability to work with all levels of stakeholders and to understand and translate technical information into clear and concise materials that are easy for users to understand. PowerPoint is a must Must have technical writing skillset, as well experience writing internal communications. - doesn't want just a writer, but rather someone who asks questions, and will learn and understand the situation, then communicate. -wants a "sponge" who wants to learn the product and business 4 areas of focus: 1) classic internal communications, re: Audit. everyone is working hard, but siloed. morale is important, as is building the Audit brand within KPMG, so KPMGer's will want to come and work in the center (i.e. for KGSG Audit projects). - wants someone who's a challenger, who can be a sounding board in meetings and conversations 2)Tech/Audit tech products i.e. Clara. they do 400,000 audits a year, there are 90,000 auditors in KPMG. Usage of the products is huge. - wants to position products well - talk about what's coming down the pipe - what's the value proposition of these products -- AI is coming! will be huge, AI transformation of Audit. Tell the AI story in business-friendly terms - wants well-structured prose, not flowery writing style - the auditors won't buy that, they'll turn off 3) Writing for technical support - better communication when things go wrong, when they're dealing with challenges with the product. they are bad at looping good communications into the support workflow, i.e. the response that someone gets when a ticket goes in. customer care 101! - help build templates for different types of responses - this person needs to understand how audit and tech functions - be curious as to the processes 4) Governance Sr. KPMG Partners oversee what we do, we operate in a formal governance process. need to get batter at how we get value out of our various governance groups. - the writer, if they have project management skills, can help with the various governance meetings we have: - upcoming meetings what topics will be covered - what decisions need to be made -- what actions need to get taken -how do we follow-up someone who's not just taking notes, someone who will come in and dig in and learn. - help strategize and plan. in summary, "all-star writing for the business world."
