Strong integration experience

The candidate will take business requirements and convert them to technical requirements which may include integrating with multiple systems/APIs

This role will sit between the Business Analyst and Developers

Understanding of system integrations and APIs preferred.  

Exposure to XML and SQL/Data extraction preferred.

Summary - Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business areas for technology development. Design, deliver, and maintain high-quality technology solutions and requirements for assigned initiatives. Apply appropriate requirements management methodology, develop expertise in several systems, and contribute to clarifying requests for support, enhancements, and projects.

Accountabilities/Essential Functions

Serve as a liaison between business analysts and IT areas for technology development and primary contact during system development.

Work with business and IT to identify business and technology requirements. Evaluate functionality, and assist in the effort to document technical solutions. Engage with BAs to resolve conflicting or competing requirements and assist in process redesign where applicable.

Work towards procuring business acceptance of documented technical requirements and decisions contained in the business specifications and creating agile stories for technical development teams to complete. 

Review and document systems limitations vs. business requirements to determine alternatives and work with businesses to reach the best corporate solution.

Coordinate all documentation to ensure business requirements are traceable to agile stories so testing plans can be efficiently developed by quality assurance teams.

Work with the project managers, business partners, technology teams, and IT leadership to see that requirements & development completion are delivered as required by established processes and timelines. Respond to and resolve customer service requests according to FBL Financial Group, Inc., policies in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner for external customers, departmental staff, and other FBL personnel.

Identify and analyze risks associated with the proposed changes.

Work with IT counterpart to develop functional, architectural or data flow diagrams for the proposed changes.

Provide ongoing support for implementation projects, including issue resolution and identification of future system enhancements.

Provide post-go-live support, including testing support.

Continuously improve post-go-live support processes and provide feedback to the implementation team for ongoing system improvements.

Qualifications:

College degree in MIS, Analytics, Business, or related field plus 6+ years of insurance or financial services experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Understanding of system integrations and APIs preferred.  

Exposure to XML and SQL/Data extraction preferred.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. 

Agile project (or program) related understanding is required. 

Exposure to SDLC is required.

Must be adaptable and have the desire to learn technical concepts.
