Title : Oracle DbS Administration Location : Las Vegas, NV Its 100 % onsite from day one. Duration: Long term Rate: $60/Hr on C2C Fixed Experience : 9+ Years Summary Of Essential Job Functions 7-8 years of experience in managing Postgres databases. Some years of Postgres experience should be on the cloud version preferably AWS experience of managing these data bases as RDS services in AWS, security policy, user authentication, IAM, database administration in AWS for PostgreSQL etc. Should be able to implement effective and maintainable database coding practices that form an architectural foundation. Experience in Postgres SQL performance improvement, indexing/other approaches Good experience on partitioning database Experience with message queuing, full text indexing, and other high-performance data concepts. Ability to find issues with complex SQL queries to help application/ETL team members to fine tune SQL Experience in writing Postgres DB function Experience to upgrade Postgres database, Experience in database backup and restoration of the same. Experience in AWS environment management and knowledge of different tools for same. Experience in Postgres SQL migration approach, estimating it, technically managing it Advanced understanding of Linux OS, use SSH to connect to remote systems with password & public/private keys Ability to efficiently write database code without compromising data quality, privacy or security. Knowledge of JSON and PostgreSQL support for JSON. Knowledge in Jira and GitHub. Good understanding of CI/CD using Jenkins Good understanding of Tableau , Tableau Prep Good understanding of Batch process and Job scheduling automation Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics and isolation levels Good troubleshooting skills, Ability to evaluate alternative solutions and/or workarounds 1 Strong analytical, and interpersonal communication skills Must possess good communication skills, both in verbal and in written form and be Proficient in identifying, analyzing and solving problems for Client facing experience Proficient in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems and Client facing experience Position Requirements AWS RDS hands-on experience Capacity planning, performance assessment of AWS RDSs Strong Postgres/SQL Server DB administration experience in production environments Configuration and support of complex RDS Databases in AWS environment, Configuring and managing high availability, resiliency solutions leveraging Aurora Read replicas & Global Database Experience in managing multiple RDS, database versions on large systems Practical experience in monitoring Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices Experience in using Performance Insights, RDS KPI design and management Working knowledge of Lambda, Python Strong technical and functional experience in Oracle database Administration 10g, 11g, 12c, and 19c . PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader, TOAD and UNIX scripting. Experience with visual dashboarding tools such as QlikSense and/or Tableau is preferred.
