Senior Database Administrator with Azure

Bill Rate:

Min exp 15+yrs

Interview Process:
2 rounds, 1st round is more focused on the technical side with the manager and 2 senior
folks and the 2nd round is more of conversation on fit for the team with the VP of technology

Job Description:
Designs, implements and maintains all functions of database system, including access, methods
and time, device allocations, performance monitoring and tuning, validation checks, organization, security, documentation, and statistical methodology. Analyzes current business practices, processes and procedures, and identifies future business opportunities
for leveraging data storage and retrieval system capabilities. Monitors overall standards and procedures and assists in the integration of various systems through the database system. Consults with users, determines applications development requirements, and
provides recommendations on database establishment and utilization.

Minimum Skills/Education:
15+ years relational database experience with Microsoft SQL Server Strong experience
with 7+ Azure SQL Database and SQL Managed Instance Experience with migrating on-prem databases to Azure Strong performance tuning skills (database tuning, performance of tuning queries). Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math or technical field
or equivalent combined work experience
