They work with other members of the software development team to analyze business requirements, create database schema, and write optimized SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data. Some of the key responsibilities in this role are: Designing and implementing database structures using SQL. Writing complex SQL queries to extract data from databases. Developing and maintaining database schemas and data dictionaries. Ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and integrity. Developing and maintaining database backup and recovery procedures. Creating and maintaining database security procedures. Developing data migration and integration solutions. Participating in code and design reviews. Optimizing database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques. Troubleshooting database issues and providing support to other members of the development team.
