Job Title : Tableau Admin Employment Type : Contract, C2C, 1099 Location : Dallas, TX (Onsite Day 1) Remote : No Job Description System Administration: Perform day-to-day administration tasks such as user and group management, security management, license management, data source management, and server monitoring. Ensure proper access controls and permissions are in place for different user roles. Server Maintenance and Performance Optimization: Conduct regular server maintenance activities, including software upgrades, patches, backups, and system optimizations. Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize server resources to ensure optimal performance and availability. Security and Governance: Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations. Define and enforce data governance standards, including data source management, data refresh schedules, and access controls. Scaling the Tableau Environment: This includes capacity planning, server scalability, load balancing, and performance optimization to ensure Tableau can handle larger datasets, concurrent users, and complex visualizations. User Management and Adoption: Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within the Tableau environment. Coordinate with stakeholders and business teams to understand their needs and ensure Tableau is effectively adopted across the organization. Encourage self-service analytics and provide training and resources to empower users to explore and analyze data independently. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor the performance of the Tableau environment, identify bottlenecks, and optimize system resources to ensure high availability and responsiveness. Analyze server logs, query performance, and user behavior to identify areas for improvement and take proactive measures to enhance performance. Capacity Planning and Infrastructure Management: Collaborate with IT teams to plan and allocate appropriate hardware resources, storage capacity, and network bandwidth to support Tableau Server or Tableau Online. Work closely with infrastructure teams to ensure the Tableau environment is properly integrated, upgraded, and supported within the organization's technology landscape.
