Position: 100% Remote System engineer Location: 100% Remote Duration: 3 months Job Description: About the job As a key member of the Technology Operations - Engineering and Architecture team you will primarily be responsible for advancing End User Services and Collaboration systems within the Corporation. Secondarily AD development and support. Role Responsibilities Create innovative engineering solutions and designs within defined standards and architectures, ensuring that designs work holistically within larger solutions. Develop roadmaps from strategy documents and conduct regular roadmap reviews. Design roadmap implementation projects, communicate with stakeholders and operations teams to ensure delivery. Regular communication with operations leads and by attending update meetings. Develop automation engineering solutions, identifying where automation should be used, and work with operations teams to implement solutions. Incorporate security-by-design into all solutions, ensuring that security requirements are considered concurrently with technical requirements. Work closely with operational tower leads as an L4 escalation point, providing SME support to operations teams, assisting with P1/P2 incident resolution. Essential Role Requirements 3+ years experience in an End User or Desktop Engineering role Good working knowledge of Active Directory systems and technologies including, o AD, AAD, Hybrid AAD, AAD DS o ADFS, Azure AD Connect, LDAP(S) Working knowledge of private, Azure, and public DNS, domain name hosting and domain name migrations. Strong working experience with Microsoft Modern Workplace, deployment, and management solutions including: o Microsoft 365 o Enterprise Mobility and Security, Microsoft Defender o SharePoint and OneDrive o Microsoft Teams o Testing and large-scale global deployment of Windows 10 & 11 releases (Windows 7 would be nice) o Microsoft Endpoint Manager (including SCCM and Intune) o Windows Autopilot o Always on VPN (AOVPN) o VDI Solutions (Azure VDI, Windows365, Citrix) Propose, design and implement new End User Services or Collaboration Tools into a large Enterprise. Create technology roadmaps based on strategy inputs. Conduct requirements analysis and create detailed engineering solution designs using Visio. Support incidents and request resolution. Ability to create low level implementation and build documentation. Advantageous Experience of providing engineering support to PBX voice platforms, and Microsoft Teams Voice Broad working knowledge and experience of a variety of Infrastructure systems and processes comprising: o Compute, Storage & Backup o Applications & Middleware o Databases o Networking o Security o Cloud (Azure) If you are interested, please share your updated resume and suggest the best number & time to connect with you.
