As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure to support the organization's data-driven initiatives. Your expertise in leading data engineering projects, proficiency in Python, Spark, Airflow, and AWS, will be essential in shaping and optimizing our data pipelines and analytics processes. Responsibilities: Lead and manage data engineering projects, ensuring successful design, development, and deployment of scalable and reliable data pipelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders, to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions. Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines using technologies such as Spark, Python, and Airflow to ensure the timely and accurate flow of data. Optimize data processing and storage using cloud-based solutions, particularly within the AWS ecosystem. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data quality, integrity, and availability throughout the data lifecycle. Monitor and enhance the performance of data pipelines, making necessary adjustments and improvements as needed. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering processes. Document data pipelines, processes, and solutions to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain a comprehensive repository of technical documentation. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering data engineering projects. Strong expertise in Python programming and experience with Spark for data processing and manipulation. Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow automation and orchestration. Solid understanding of cloud-based data storage and processing, particularly within the AWS ecosystem (e.g., S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR). Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus. Ability to work onsite in Atlanta, GA on the first day of the assignment.
