Workday hours that overlap and allow time for handoff from full-time staff prior to 4:00pm is desired, but actual hours may be slightly flexible. There will be required attendance for some pre-planning and architecture Teams/Zoom meetings with the team at the start of the project that will require ~10+ hours per week, but once migration work begins the candidate can expect a potentially variable 20- 40 hours per week, depending on scheduling, until the project is completed. All work can be done remotely. Qualified candidates will have demonstrable experience working as a VMware administrator, performing VM migrations between disparate VMware environments, and troubleshooting to work through any migration issues to ensure migration schedules stay on track. REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE # YEARS VMware vSphere 3 VMware vCenter 3 VMware VSAN 3 Preference will be given to candidates with experience in VMware vSphere, VSAN, NSX, and HCX. Highest preference will be given to those candidates with related experience and certifications in any or all of these technologies. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in VMware administration and migration projects for the state or local public sector, in consideration of the unique challenges of public sector business needs.
