Job Title : DevOps Site Reliability Engineer Location: Madison, WI Work Arrangement :: Hybrid ** There will be a 1 hour Zoom recorded Technical screening where the candidate will be recorded and is required to have their camera on. This will be done PRIOR to submitting to the client. If the candidate does well on the Technical screening, we will send the results along with resume and documentation to the client for review Job Description The DevOps SRE engineer is responsible for supporting development and deployment of AmFam Groups application portfolio. You will be a part of our DevOps SRE team and report to the product owner responsible for DevOps process improvement, reliability, and troubleshooting efforts for the organization. Tools GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, Octopus Deploy, Nexus (one off tool). Of these the most important are GitLab and Jenkins. Need to be able to communicate well with customers and ask intelligent questions to help improve DevOps processes and to determine root cause of ongoing issues. Ideally 1-3 years of CI/CD, GitLab, Jenkins. Curt didnt share the bill rate but said hes looking for mid-level candidates for these roles. Daily standup meeting, work w/ Jira as story management tool, ServiceNow for Incident & Problem Management. JBoss and Tomcat more important to have than Python and Power. Python more important than Power. Ideal candidate will have some cloud experience and that can be AWS, P or Azure and preference in that order. 8am 5pm CST core business hours and some on-call support. On-call every 6-7 weeks rotation and wouldnt be on call until at least 3 months into contract. 100% remote is fine but he does have a slight preference for candidates that are local to Madison and open to coming into the office occasionally. Duties for this role include, but are not limited to: - ServiceNow Incident and Problem Response - Automation and orchestration of DevOps pipeline tools - Improvement of existing processes and observability of those processes - CI/CD Pipeline Management and Troubleshooting Candidate Requirements: - Associate degree in software engineering, information technology, computer science, or other related fields. - 4+ years of appropriate experience - Proven hands-on experience with DevOps, building CI/CD using Gitlab, Jenkins, Artifactory, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS - Experience with administration of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, RHEL) - Experience with python - Experience with java application servers, including JBoss and Tomcat - Experience in troubleshooting and problem analysis It is ideal if candidates also have experience in the following, but not required: - Experience working in the insurance/financial industry - Experience with additional languages such as Perl, Power, or BASH scripting - Exposure to governance frameworks such as PCI, HIPAA - Experience in Kubernetes within AWS and P - A passion for all things DevOps - A willingness to teach and learn alongside the team - Strong documentation writing Thanks & Regards Anuj Singh Cybertec, Inc.
