Job Description: Title: Sr. VoIP Network Engineer Location: Orange, CT -Onsite MOI : Skype Mandatory: Need 7+ years overall experience with Cisco Voice Solid experience with - Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM) Knowledge of SIP Trunk and Line Excellent knowledge of UCC Comm Unity Connection Strong with Firewalls, Proxy Servers Strong with Network Security, Wireless Experience with software load balancers and F5; Strong with BGP & OSPF protocol Proficient in configuration of Firewalls and internet perimeter devices. Understands TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, DHCP. Strong experience with call routing Understands general networking (Layer 2 and Layer 3) concepts and its function/implications to help in resolving connectivity issues Prior support of Large Cisco Voice Platforms Understands Security Operations and help desk ticketing systems, incident response, change management, request management, ticket escalations, etc. Will work with extended team members including Sr Engineers, IT, etc. Able to work independently and within a team. Self-starter, problem solver, take ownership and follow thru resolving tickets in a timely fashion Designs, configures, and installs VOIP hardware / software replacements and upgrades Comm skills: should have clear verbal and written communication and documentation skills. Preferred/Optional: Hands-on with any: Wireshark, MS Network Monitor (Netmon), Message Analyzer Understands ACLs on Cisco Routers, Cisco ASA, or Cisco Firepower Network Certifications CCNA required -- CCNP, CCIE preferred Bachelors degree or equivalent.
