You'll perform testing on Cisco products with telecommunications interfaces such as FXO/FXS, T1/E1, Ethernet, VoIP, xDSL, Optical, etc. Testing is performed to world-wide government standards/regulations such as US FCC Part 68, ITU-T, ETSI, etc. As a Test Engineer, you'll also develop new test methods as standards & regulations evolve. Write test reports detailing the test procedures and results of the tests performed during product qualification testing. In addition, the successful candidate will assist in testing of Energy Efficiency of Servers against Energy Star requirements full training will be provided if necessary. Skills and Experience: BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field such as Physics combined with some EE knowledge Minimum five years work experience, preferably in a testing environment Demonstrate good project management abilities and have an aptitude for problem solving Be highly proficient in PC-based tools and software, including Microsoft Office Some understanding of world-wide regulatory bodies such as FCC, TIA, ANSI, Industry Canada, ITU-T, ETSI, and/or other world-wide specifications Experience in testing/configuring Cisco IP telephony products (Cisco Call Manager, Cisco IOS voice gateways, IP telephones, etc.) is also a plus.
