Job Description: - Role:- Data Architect Location:- 100% Remote Duration:- Long Term (Contract, C2C/W2) Must Have :- Data Modeling with ER/Studio Data Vault 2.0 Snowflake Data Governance or IDMC OR informatica data governance. Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data modeling using ER/Studio, Data Vault 2.0 methodology, and Snowflake as well as a strong understanding of data governance principles. Additionally, experience with data governance tools such as IDMC or Informatica Data Governance is highly desirable. The Data Architect will play a pivotal role in shaping our data infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities: Data Modeling: Utilize ER/Studio to design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that accurately represent the organization's data assets. Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data models. Data Vault 2.0: Implement and maintain a Data Vault 2.0 methodology for data warehousing, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and agility in data storage and retrieval. Develop Data Vault structures, including Hubs, Links, and Satellites, to capture and integrate data from various sources. Snowflake: Design, implement, and optimize data warehousing solutions using Snowflake, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. Create and maintain Snowflake data objects such as tables, views, and stored procedures. Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance best practices, standards, and policies within the organization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document data governance processes and workflows. Implement data quality controls and data lineage tracking to ensure data accuracy and lineage transparency. Data Governance Tools (Optional): If applicable, utilize tools such as IDMC or Informatica Data Governance to streamline and automate data governance activities. Configure and maintain data governance workflows, data catalogs, and metadata repositories within the chosen tool. Data Strategy: Contribute to the development of the organization's data strategy, aligning data architecture with business objectives. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to continually improve the data architecture. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, data architecture, and data governance processes for reference and compliance purposes. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (masters degree preferred). Proven experience (X+ years) as a Data Architect or similar role in designing and implementing data solutions. Strong proficiency in data modeling using ER/Studio and familiarity with Data Vault 2.0 methodology. Hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehousing technology. Knowledge of data governance principles and experience implementing data governance frameworks. Familiarity with data governance tools such as IDMC or Informatica Data Governance (preferred). Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Certifications in relevant technologies and methodologies are a plus.
