OT Network Engineer

Location: Houston, TX 

Contract: 12-month Hybrid 

Visa: No H1B/OPT/CPT

Note from hiring manager: Claroty tool is an absolute must. 

Qualifications: 

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP) would be a plus. 

- Proven experience (5 to 7 years) as a Network Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and security principles. 

- Familiarity with Claroty Threat Detection technology or similar anomaly detection systems. 

- Proficiency in analyzing network traffic using packet capture tools and network analysis software. 

- Solid scripting and programming skills (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and customization of detection rules. 

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - - Knowledge of process control/industrial networks security principles and challenges. 

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 

Responsibilities: 

- Design, implement, and maintain PCN/OT network security measures, focusing on the identification and prevention of anomalies using Claroty Threat Detection technology. 

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define PCN/OT network security requirements and integrate anomaly detection solutions seamlessly. 

- Monitor network traffic using Claroty Threat Detection tools to identify and analyze abnormal patterns, potential threats, and unauthorized access attempts. 

- Develop and refine custom detection rules, signatures, and alerts to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of anomaly detection systems. 

- Investigate and respond to incidents, conducting root cause analysis to determine the nature of anomalies and recommending appropriate actions. 

- Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in network security to continuously enhance the effectiveness of anomaly detection methods. 

- Provide technical expertise, on the job training and support during safeguard implementation to Business Units.
