Experience with virtualization technologies. Experience with data center monitoring and management tools. Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. Attention to detail: Ability to pay attention to detail and follow procedures. Ability to work under pressure. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the data center, including: Monitoring and maintaining the physical infrastructure, such as the servers, storage, and networking equipment. Troubleshooting and resolving problems with the data center environment. Performing preventive maintenance on the data center equipment. Provisioning and decommissioning new and old servers and storage devices. Ensuring the availability and security of the data center environment: Implementing and enforcing data center security policies and procedures. Backing up and restoring data. Monitoring for and responding to security threats. Working with other IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of the data center: Collaborating with the server and storage team to ensure that the data center has the necessary resources to meet the business needs. Working with the network team to ensure that the data center has a reliable and secure network infrastructure. Working with the security team to ensure that the data center is protected from unauthorized access.
