What equipment to select based on standards, knowledge of rack/stack, rack elevations, HVAC requirements based on heat dissipation etc. The AIG Global Network Services is looking for a Senior Network Engineer focused on Real Estate projects and network infrastructures. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing functional network infrastructures within the global landscape of 400+ locations. Qualifications Must have 7+ years of proven network engineering experience designing and deploying large-scale multi-vendor enterprise networks and project delivery Advanced understanding of network hardware, software, protocols, and technologies Strong hands on experience and deep understanding with Routing, Switching, SD-WAN, Wireless and network segmentation. Familiarity with network monitoring, management, and troubleshooting tools Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent experience Network Automation (Ansible, Python, etc.) a plus. Sharp troubleshooting faculties, deductive reasoning, and careful attention to detail. Independent and self-directed work ethic when participating in a collaborative environment. Strong communication skills both verbal and written to develop technical documentation Excellent communication skills; ability to perform under pressure and detail oriented Dedicated commitment to service availability and quality user experience. Must be results driven with a strong sense of urgency Responsibilities Creates and maintains documentation related to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records. Responsible for design, installation, and maintenance of all network devices within the network. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop consensus, drive results, and execute projects across the organization on time and within budget Manage several simultaneous projects from conception through implementation Develop and maintain standards and designs for Branch infrastructure with the Architecture team. Works with internal and external resources to coordinate procurement of network equipment from quote to delivery. Work closely with senior management, network architecture, network engineering and operations teams. Participates in change review process and occasional after hours change implementations. Enhances efficiency via automation when and wherever possible. Act as an escalation engineer for high severity network related production issues, work with engineers and various vendors to identify tactical and strategic solutions.
