Manager Notes: Someone who takes ownership, self-starter, can be given nebulous requirements and drive to the detail, chasing people down Looking for someone who has experience in Terraform Experience in a particular CSPs (Cloud Security Platform) security configuration not only from org level but through an individual resource Deep understanding of how that security config impacts the development and usage of those resources Security understanding of AWS, GCP, Azure (4th is OCI but more of team effort) Someone whose focus is on security Cloud security SME but more hands on engineer Predominantly Azure Looking for 2 cloud SMEs so if one is strong in one CSP (Say Azure) and has some experience in another (maybe AWS), then the other person is stronger in the other CSP (AWS) and some knowledge in the other (Azure), thats an ideal scenario so they will balance out Type of work is the same across the platforms so knowledge in any and all would be great Someone with GCP would be a plus Senior level person, doesnt have to be 10-15, more like 6-8 years Bottom Line / In a Nutshell: Ideally looking for a Cloud Security SME that has experience with Terraform 5-7+ years' experience in Cloud Security utilizing any of the following platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP and OCI Cloud certifications Job Description: Maintain and improve the security posture of the Azure/AWS/GCP platform, identifying, and remediating vulnerabilities by using a variety of security tools. Provide cyber security expertise in the analysis, assessment, development, and evaluation of security solutions and architectures to secure applications, operating systems, databases, and networks. Implement and configure security controls and policies, manage access to data, and monitor threats to ensure that apps, containers, infrastructure, and networks are protected. Implementing threat protection and responding to security incident escalations. Automate security controls, data, and processes to provide better metrics and operational support using Terraform security-as-code. Configure access within a cloud solution environment using the defense-in-depth principle Configure network security including in a hybrid context with traditional network centric controls Ensure data protection Manage operations within a cloud solution environment such as operations tasks, using cloud native tools, like Log Analytics, Monitor and Security Center or other monitoring tooling. Support our cloud engineers to implement security best-practices and enable secure development and release processes. Ensure compliance Deliver/update documentation (e.g. operational tasks) on wiki. Be part of a multidisciplinary DevOps team which takes ownership of both new development and operational activities.
