[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Network ZSCALER Engineer -L3 Location - NYC, NY - Onsite Long term Contract Sr. Network Engineer Responsibilities Contribute to the overall strategic vision to analyze requirements, design/test solutions and deploy network components into production Perform duties/tasks specifically related to ZScaler, Cisco and Palo Alto solutions with a focus on ZScaler solutions and troubleshooting Design and deploy functional Zero Trust Components utilizing ZScaler, Cisco and Palo Alto tools within networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) Resolve issues that have been escalated Mentor team members and address user needs Author enterprise compliance standards and networking architecture Collaborate with Technical SMEs and vendor relations Create and/or maintain standards documentation, design documentation/templates/ topology diagrams and workflow documents Responsible for the administration, integrations and tuning of the enterprise data network routers, switches, APs and firewalls for LAN and WAN systems Work with architect to design, plan and build roadmaps Able to manage multiple projects at one time Support project team as technical advisor during meetings as required Serve as tier 3 support Document designs, runbooks, and processes Work with remote staff or outside vendors on tasks for troubleshooting data network issues Monitor the network Manage system/hardware life-cycle, updates/refreshes, and schedule preventative maintenance Cross train other team members and participate in end user training sessions when necessary Able to work with cross function engineers, support, MSP and vendors Automate processes and tasks for workplace technologies, and help scale support globally Employees may also perform other duties as assigned Travel to PJT sites for implementations when needed Qualifications AND MUST HAVE Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent work experience Five or more years working on Cisco technologies Five or more years working on Palo Alto technologies Two or more years working on Zscaler technologies Cisco certification a MUST Strong to advanced knowledge of Network Access Control (NAC) and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) High level experience with Cisco switches and ACLs Strong understanding of network protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, etc) Able to work projects in Agile Strong written and oral communication skills Strong interpersonal skills in a team-based development environment Strong knowledge of network management tools to facilitate troubleshooting, i.e. Wireshark, Netbrain, Extrahop, etc. Hands on experience with monitoring tools including ThousandEyes and SolarWinds Hands on experience with Microsoft Visio building network diagrams Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Demonstrated results orientation with attention to detail Thanks again.
