[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Title: Enterprise Data Architect End Client: Visa: USC, GC, GC-EAD, H4-EAD Location: Remote 6 weeks project Job Description: Project Summary Client has a data platform, based on Snowflake, that is very complex in design and not well situated the future direction of the organization. This project is a complex assessment of the current architecture to determine fit for purpose with recommendations for addressing major considerations for design and implementation. The client is within the financial services industry and compliance and data protection are key requirements in support of the business model. Role Enterprise Data Architect Function The enterprise data architect will lead the assessment and the overall engagement. Consultant will follow the general process outlined by New Era for the project, further define the approach to achieve the objectives and perform the activities in the approach. The individual will work with a data management specialist that will complement the data architecture assessment by focusing on data management functions like governance and stewardship. Key Characteristics & Experiences Many instances serving as a Solutions Architect in the data domain with specific expertise working with cloud data platforms and deep knowledge of modern technologies including AWS, Azure and Snowflake. Must be at expert level data integration/data engineering and near expert level with data architecture principles. The candidate needs experience working with large-scale data and compute environments and understands how to optimize solutions to support high demands for through-put. Experience working in the financial services domain. Experience solving demands for addressing and ensuring compliance, data privacy and controls. Shows project experience designing data architectures to support those imperatives. 10+ years of experience serving in senior consulting roles across one or more domains: data architecture, data integration, data warehousing, big data implementations, cloud data platforms or BI/Analytics implementations. 7+ years performing full life-cycle data integration design and development projects. Several recent years working with cloud data platform technologies specifically around Snowflake, Azure, AWS, or GCP. Proficient as a data modeler for data warehousing and BI. Fully understands the implementation of relational and dimensional models. Proficiency with SQL and optimizing the model and query patterns for performance. Has served as a data architect for dimensional and analytical projects. Proficiency with a variety of database technologies including relational, NoSQL, Hadoop. Near expert level knowledge across one or more of these. Preferably has proven experience with Snowflake. Understands data governance and data stewardship and knows how to incorporate these principles into solution designs. Strong communication and articulation skills to work with various levels of individuals across business and technical teams. Proven skills presenting to decision makers. As comfortable working with business teams as with technology teams.
